Let's go ahead and paint a picture of your first visit to Advanced Correction Chiropractic. This is our office situated conveniently at the corner of Wilkens Avenue and Maiden Choice Lane. It's less than a quarter of a mile inside of the Baltimore Beltway which makes it a quick stop for the busy commuters that make up a large part of our clientele.

There are a couple of other professional buildings in our plaza (along with a Giant supermarket that most people recognize as a landmark), so notice that our building is one story tall with green awnings.

This is our waiting room, but don't worry! You won't spend a lot of time here. Our doctors and staff work very hard to stay on time, because who has half an hour to sit in an office waiting for their doctor? On your first visit, you will be greeted by our receptionist who will have a little paperwork for you to fill out. If you would like to call ahead and have the paperwork faxed or mailed to you to fill out before coming in, we can arrange that for you as well. This paperwork will help us complete your file and give the doctors some information about what has brought you to see us. The good news is you only have to fill it out once. Once you've finished, you will be escorted back to the consultation room.

The doctor will meet you in here shortly and sit down to discuss your health history and present concerns. A block of time has been reserved for you to make sure that the doctor has time to get a thorough understanding of what he can do to help you. An examination will be performed to add further information about what needs to be addressed. Diagnostic tools such as a computerized spinal analysis


and in-house X-rays may be used to complete the picture of your health without even leaving our office. If X-rays are taken, both of our doctors will read them to ensure that nothing is missed and the appropriate treatment is set up.

If treatment begins on this visit, then your next stop is the therapy area. Having not seen you yet, our step by step tour ends here as every person's treatment plan is individually tailored to meet their needs. So let's just take a look at everything that is offered and available to help get you the results that you need and want.

A state-of-the-art therapy unit allows us to perform physical therapy modalities such as electric muscle stimulation and ultrasound.

These painless therapies, along with the appropriate use of ice and heat, serve several purposes. They can reduce muscle spasms, decrease swelling and inflammation, offer pain relief, break up scar tissue, and provide many other benefits.

These are two of our patients� favorite therapies. The intersegmental traction table on the left has a roller built into the table that helps to gently traction overloaded joints in the spine, provide motion to misaligned joints, and massage sore muscle tissue. This allows us to restore proper motion to the spine which takes pressure off of nerves and slows arthritic changes. The hydrotherapy massage table is seen on the right, and uses jets similar to those in a whirlpool to give a comfortable and relaxing heated water massage. The table can be used not only on muscles in the back and legs, but has helped with abdominal or stomach cramps as well. Massage helps to break up scar tissue in muscles, relieve muscle spasms, and remove toxins from overworked areas. Chances are we�ll have to wake you up after these therapies. Of course, relaxation is an important step in the healing process, both mentally and physically.

Our adjusting area is equipped with two special tables designed to allow many different techniques for chiropractic adjustments. The doctors know that everybody is different, and it is important to find the treatment that works best for each individual. That is why our doctors have been trained in a variety of techniques.

The tables you see above give our doctors the ability to work effectively with most causes of low back pain, neck pain, headaches, postural problems, disc problems, and a variety of other common ailments. The chiropractic adjustments are safe, gentle, and effective. Our doctors have successfully treated patients ranging from 3 weeks old to 94 years old, and we will be sure to take any time necessary to relieve any fears that you may have before your first adjustment.

Once we have gotten you moving in the right direction, it is important to make sure that your body is able to protect itself from further injury.

That is why we have an area dedicated to rehabilitative exercises. We will design a program that focuses on the areas that will give you the best results. Stretching the tight muscles and strengthening the weaker muscles will help restore balance and stability to your body and get you back to the activities you love in the shortest amount of time.
